Abstract
The study of political figures is one of the most important pillars that historians rely on in revealing the political, economic, and social behavior of world leaders, including the figure of the sixth Turkish president (Fakhri Korutürk). Korutürk is one of the most important figures who has a professional record full of achievements at the political, diplomatic and military levels. He was distinguished by his high professionalism in all the positions he held, which earned him fame and acceptance by all political parties in Turkey, which contributed to being a compromise in the crisis of the presidential elections of 1973. Turkey had witnessed a presidential crisis due to the competition between the civilian current calling for the removal of the army from politics, and the military movement keen to ensure the continuation of the military presence and its role in managing the state. Indeed, during his presidency of Turkey during the period (1973-1980), Kurotturk succeeded in adopting a balanced role between political parties and the army, trying to bring the views closer between them until the end of his presidency in 1980.
