Abstract
The High Commission for Human Rights is a state agency that is impartial specialized and independent from the interference of state authorities by providing guarantees for the reliable performance of the tasks entrusted to it. The 2005 Constitution was assigned tasks in sensitive areas such as protecting human rights and freedoms. At its core, it comprises an integrated set of civil, political, social, economic and cultural human rights which enables Iraqis to live in dignity, and has been allocated to many institutions and bodies that protect and guarantee these rights, and the office of the High Commissioner for Human rights through education, promotion, and consultation with the mandate related to reviewing legislation and demonstrate compliance with the constitution.
