Abstract

If one introduces jarh terms and clearly amends them، it is a praiseworthy matter، especially those that are widely circulated despite the lack of agreement on their meaning among the hadith scholars، or if their words do not agree in describing the hadith narrator، or the deficiency of this or other ruling، the importance of the importance of these terms in judging hadiths as authentic or weak. Among the terms that have been the subject of discussion and disagreement among jurists is “ignorance” and those who have been described by the hadith scholars with this description. Some of them may go as far as to describe one of the prominent figures of Islam as “ignorant،” and others may differ in the implications resulting from this term. Among the hadith scholars who meant by “jarrah” and “tandem” is Abu Al-Hasan AL-Qattan in His book (Statement of Illusion and Illusion in the Book of Rulings), in which he followed (The Book of Rulings) by Abd al-Haqq al-Ishbili. Ibn al-Qattan’s comments were not free from criticism، so others followed him with specific works، such as Al-Hafiz al-Dhahabi in his book (The Response to Ibn al-Qattan in his Book Bayan of Illusion and Illusion). And others included in their books، from the hadith scholars and others. Therefore، I decided to study this issue in this research chapter (The Concept of Ignorance according to Ibn aL-qattan and its applications in his book Bayan al-Whum wal-Illusion) to find out Ibn al-Qattan’s position on the concept of ignorance، and how he dealt with it. this research was organized into three sections:

The first topic: introducing the vocabulary of the title.

The second topic: The concept of ignorance according to Ibn al-Qattan.

The third section: an applied study.

Then the conclusion of the research، which included the most important results and proposals.
